Hi, I’m Julie Ann! ✨
Filipina Mama. K-Beauty Enthusiast. Honest Reviewer.
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m a 36-year-old Filipina, a wife, and a "boy mom" to two energetic rascals (ages 7 and 5). We live in the beautiful, but incredibly dry, heat of Las Vegas, Nevada. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by 10-step routines or wasted money on a "viral" product that made your skin freak out, you are in the right place.
My Skincare Journey: From Sensitive to Glowing
I haven't always had it figured out. My skin is the definition of "difficult"—it’s combination and highly sensitive. Living in the desert, I struggled for years to find products that provided deep hydration without causing irritation or breakouts.
That search led me to the world of Korean Beauty. I fell in love with the K-Beauty philosophy of "skin first" and gentle, effective ingredients. But as a busy mom, I also realized I didn't have time for products that didn't work. I needed results.
The "SimplyMamaJulz" Promise: Tried & Tested
I started SimplyMamaJulz.com because I wanted a space that offered more than just pretty pictures. This is an independently owned website where I share my real-life results.
Hello!
Here is what you can expect here:
• No Shortcuts: I personally test every single product mentioned on this site.
• Sensitive-Skin Safe: Because my skin reacts easily, I do the "danger testing" so you don’t have to.
• The Real Mama Life: I review products based on how they fit into a real, busy schedule—not a filtered fantasy.
My Holy Grails & Partners
I am proud to be a trusted affiliate for the shops I personally use to stock my vanity:
• YesStyle & Olive Young: My go-to's for the latest K-Beauty innovations.
• Tocobo.us: A brand I truly admire for its effective and beautiful formulations.
• Amazon: For those "need it now" skincare essentials.
Why I Do This
Between school runs, laundry, and life in Vegas, this blog is my creative outlet. It’s my way of helping other women (especially my fellow Filipinas and mamas!) feel confident in their skin again.
When you support this blog—whether through a [donation], a comment, or using my [affiliate links]—you are helping a solo, mama-owned business stay independent and honest.
Thank you for being part of this community. Let’s find your glow together!
With love and SPF,
